Manchester United v Real Madrid free bet offer
Old Trafford is the setting for one of the most intriguing one off games of the season (or even the decade!) as Manchester United host Real Madrid, with the score tied at 1-1 after an evenly matched first leg.
It may well be the second leg of a last 16 tie in the Champions League but it is difficult to argue with Jose Mourinho’s assertion at the pre match press conference that this “match is like a final.”
In recent weeks, Real Madrid have really stepped up a gear and their performances in beating Barcelona in two El Clasicos spread over four days, were nothing short of extraordinary.
Los Blancos may be missing Iker Casillas due to injury but come to Manchester United a week after beating Barcelona 3-1 in the Nou Camp to reach the Copa del Rey final, in a performance Sir Alex Ferguson described as a “one off.”
Mourinho was able to rest his big players and still beat Barcelona on Saturday in La Liga and it is no exaggeration to say his side could well be the finest at counter attacking football of any on the planet.
What makes this match so mouth watering is that Manchester United are in such good form. The 4-0 victory over Norwich means Shinji Kagawa may have played himself into the starting line-up after a hat-trick.
There has been talk of the treble in recent weeks and with the Premier League all but sown up, if Manchester United can negotiate a way past Real Madrid, it may not be fanciful at all.
And, we haven’t even mentioned that it has been 1,388 since Cristiano Ronaldo last played at Old Trafford…
It promises to be a fascinating encounter and our pals at Bet365 have a rather attractive offer for you.
Current odds: Manchester United 3.10; Draw 3.70; Real Madrid 2.30.
101gg predicts: Manchester United 2 – Real Madrid 2. Cristiano Ronaldo to score first goal. 36/1 with the good folk at Bet365.
