There were just three minutes remaining of Portugal’s friendly rout of Republic of Ireland when Manchester United winger Nani picked up the ball.
Nani had replaced former Manchester United team mate Cristiano Ronaldo on 65 minutes and looked keen to impress having bagged two assists for Portugal’s final goals.
The Portugal winger moved inside playing some glorious one-touch football and finished the move with a back heel finish.
It smacked of a team full of confidence and a player looking to break into a side packed with talent.
Referee Baldomero Toledo disallowed the goal for offside, much to Nani’s chagrin, but we can still admire a beautiful team goal.
It is looking like Portugal are ready for their mouthwatering opening game against Germany!
