Man United interim manager Ryan Giggs sends mixed messages about taking a penalty to MUTV & the press

New Manchester United interim manager Ryan Giggs may be about to see one of his incredible records come to a close.

Giggs holds the proud record of being the only footballer to score in every season of the Premier League since it’s inception in 1992.

With just four games of the season left, the Man United veteran has yet to hit the back of the net for the Red Devils, and that has left many to speculate whether the Welsh wonder would sub himself on for a penalty should United get a spot-kick in one of their final games of the campaign.

Addressing that issue on MUTV, Giggs joked “I’ll bring myself on if we get a penalty.”

When asked the same question at his debut presser on Friday at Carrington, however, Giggs shied away from giving an answer claiming “it’s the furthest thing from my mind.”

Below are reports on those quotes made by Giggs, together with more quotes from the Welshman’s first day speaking to the media as Man United’s gaffer.
