The transfer of Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich to Manchester United appears to be coming ever closer!
Bayern Munich President Karl Hopfner is quoted in respected German magazine Kicker today, saying the Bundesliga champions will not offer Kroos an increase in their current offer to Toni Kroos.
The German playmaker is out of contract next season at Bayern and has been pushing for a new deal for some time.
Hopfner is quoted in Kicker saying: “This is the state of things, no question… Certain financial limitations we will not be exceeded… at some point the player has to say but what he wants.”
In addition, Kroos is also quoted in Kicker: “It’s no secret that the Premier League is not a bad league… I am a man for whom anything is possible.”
With suggestions that Kroos is wanted by Louis van Gaal as his first signing as Manchester United manager, these quotes will come as great news to the Old Trafford hierarchy and fans.
Especially those who feel the Manchester United midfield needs a serious upgrade.
Pep still wants him to stay but Bayern haven't improved their contract offer (says president Hopfner in Kicker): looks like Kroos will go
