Man City striker Mario Balotelli mobbed on visit to Italian prison

Ahead of Italy’s Euro 2012 qualifier with Slovenia on Tuesday night, Mario Balotelli joined Azzurri coach Cesare Prandelli and Gianluigi Buffon in paying a visit to one of the prisons near Florence.

The Manchester City striker was mobbed on his way into the prison and to where the Italian team representatives were to speak to the inmates. Incredibly, Buffon, a World Cup winner, was almost completely ignored.

Super Mario said during the prison visit: “I accepted right away when they asked me to come here. Boys, do not give up, everyone has a chance in life.”
