A Liverpool fan was ripped a new one on Saturday on BBC radio after he rang up 606 to complain that Brendan Rodgers should be fired.
The Reds supporter, known as David, was calling at halftime of the Aston Villa game, which at the time of the conversation saw Liverpool trailing 2-1 in the contest.
Trailing to Villa proved the straw that broke the camel’s back for David, who went on a tirade against the Anfield head honcho.
David’s complaints centred on the possibility of losing twice to Aston Villa at Anfield in a year (obviously this never happened as Liverpool drew the game on Saturday 2-2), complaints against the quality of goalie Simon Mignolet and defender Mamadou Sakho, as well as arguing that Rodgers’ previous post at Swansea meant the manager hasn’t received the football grounding needed to succeed on Merseyside.
Faced with the irate caller, it was left to BBC duo Darren Fletcher and Robbie Savage to try and talk some sense into the misguided Liverpool fan.
Watch the argument below.
