Portuguese newspaper A Bola has picked up on many of the reports in the English press over recent months, confirming Liverpool’s interest in Sporting Lisbon left back Marcos Rojo.
The 24-year-old Argentine is thought to be on a list of players Brendan Rodgers is looking to bring to Liverpool this summer.
Rojo joins the likes of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Steven Caulker and Yevhen Konoplyanka, who are all heavily linked with the Anfield giants.
However, Rojo has two years left on his current contract at Sporting Lisbon and has a release clause of 30 million euros, according to A Bola.
Formerly of Estudiantes and Spartak Moscow, Marcos Rojo has played 24 matches for Sporting Lisbon this season, scoring four times.
