Strong sides are predicted for this clash as two of Italy’s biggest sides go head to head for the opportunity to play Lazio in the semi-finals.

Juventus will be eager to bounce back from the surprise Serie A defeat to Sampdoria on Sunday and will be keen to repeat their Coppa Italia semi-final win over AC Milan last season.

With a midfield three of Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo, providing strikers Seabastian Giovinco and Mirko Vucinic, there is little doubt that Juventus have the necessary quality to beat the Rossoneri.

AC Milan coach Massimo Allegri sounded fairly defeatist in the lead-up to the cup tie: “The semi-final is an objective, but it will be hard as we are going to play on one of the most difficult grounds that there are. It’s a shame that this is only a quarter-final tie.”

As has been the case for much of the campaign, AC Milan will rely on Stephan El Shaarawy for goals and Kevin Prince Boateng will likely start behind two strikers with Bojan Krkic also up front.

Despite their underdog status, AC Milan beat Juventus 1-0 at the San Siro in late November and could well produce another shock. For the Rossoneri, this competition could be a great way to secure entry into the Europa League.
