According to the rumour mill, Lionel Messi is set to be out for three weeks after picking up an injury in Paris on Tuesday night.
UPDATE: It has now been confirmed by Lionel Messi himself, that his injury was not as bad as first feared. Messi will miss Barca’s match with Mallorca this weekend, however he may be fit for the return leg against PSG in the Champions League.
The Barcelona hitman, who became the first player in Champions League history to score in 20 different European cities after he opened for the Catalans in the Parc De Princes, was forced off at halftime against PSG following a hamstring injury.
According to Barcelona’s official Twitter channel:
Messi sustained an injury to his right hamstring. He will undergo further tests on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury. #FCBLive

That Lionel Messi picked up any sort of injury is a rarity. The last time Messi had a muscle injury was in way back November 2009, when he missed games against Real Madrid and Inter Milan after sustaining a calf injury.
Footage of Lionel Messi pulling up against PSG can be seen below, whilst a variety of pictures of the worldwide reactions on Messi’s injury can be seen after that.
