Lil Wayne is starting a sports management company and Cristiano Ronaldo will be his first client, according to American gossip site TMZ.
Apparently Lil Wayne has wanted to start a sports management company for a while now and, as well as being such a marketable footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo is a friend of his.
In fact, Ronaldo tweeted a photo from his Japan visit, tagging Lil Wayne as it showed everybody in the photo doing a sign synonymous with the rapper. He wrote: ‘YMCMB (Young Money Cash Money Billionaires) with @jpn_pmo what you think @srod7 @liltunechi @euro’. Perhaps a hint that the business relationship had begun between the pair.
Here’s an extract from the article providing details of what the deal entails: “We’re told Weezy’s company will be working with PolarisSports — which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute — through which Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes operates.
Our sources tell us Wayne’s company will handle Ronaldo’s sports management affairs in the United States — everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling.”
