24 hours after the tabloid media in England spewed headlines about Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos being ready to jack in his career at Bayern Munich for a move to Manchester United, the player’s agent has spoken to set the record straight.
Bild, the leading German tabloid, has released fresh quotes from Kroos’ agent Volker Struth that are sure to burst the bubble for many hopeful United fans. Struth told Bild:
For months we’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors and we won’t comment on them. But currently I believe that Toni will stay at Bayern at least until 2015.
Midfielder Kroos is under contract until 2015, but has yet to reach an agreement on a new deal with Bayern. He is reportedly on €86,000 a week, and hopes to at least double his wages if he is to put pen to paper.
