With a full set of Premier League fixtures during the past week, there were plenty of incidents that have gone unnoticed or been barely discussed by the mainstream football media.

One such example came during Newcastle’s latest win over Blackburn that plunged Steve Kean’s side into yet more relegation bother despite a committed and plucky performance from the home side.

After Newcastle had taken an early lead, Blackburn pushed for an equaliser and around the half hour mark Junior Hoilett went on a driving run through the middle, of the type that has reportedly drawn admirers from the likes of Liverpool and Spurs.

Just as he reached the Newcastle area, Hoilett took a pretty disgraceful tumble, that can be seen on the replays on the videos below. Fabricio Coloccini reacted with incredulity, whilst Ryan Taylor was so angry he earned himself a booking.
