With both sides in the hunt for a top 4 spot, Manchester United are set to host Arsenal tonight in the FA Cup quarter final.
Talented Spanish midfielder Juan Mata today published his weekly blog online and focused on the mouthwatering FA Cup clash.
The 26 year old Manchester United man hasn’t started a Premier League game since January as manager Louis Van Gaal has looked more towards his compatriot Ander Herrera.
Despite that, the universally liked Spaniard also took the opportunity to congratulate his friend and teammate Ander Herrera for his Manchester United Player of the Month award.
‘This week I also want to congratulate Ander Herrera for winning the United Player of the Month award for February. He is a great footballer and a better friend, so needless to say how happy I am for him.’
Juan Mata seems genuinely excited by tonight’s big Cup game against Arsenal, writing ‘I’m sure this is going to be a nice game to watch for those who love football.‘ He elaborated further on tonight’s match below.

Back Man United to beat Arsenal at 4/1!!!
Today I’m writing from the pre-match hotel. As you know, we are playing Arsenal this Monday night, a game we are very looking forward to. We hope to do well and get the ticket to Wembley.
To tell the truth, the team is really excited about the FA Cup, and facing an opponent like Arsenal in the last eight is a great opportunity to enjoy pure English football. And the fact that we play in Old Trafford gives us extra motivation and optimism. We will try to play our best football in front of our fans. This competition brings back some good memories: I was lucky to win it in my first year in England. I remember that game in Wembley very well, although I know there’s still plenty of work to do for us before dreaming with a final.
Arsenal are very good technically, and many of their attacking players are very fast. They use to play with an attractive and offensive style. I’m sure this is going to be a nice game to watch for those who love football.
In our last game in the Premier League we got three points in St. James’ Park, always a very tough stadium. Newcastle is a team with good players who make things difficult for the opponent but we fought until the end and we were able to score in the last few minutes. It was a very special game because Jonás Gutiérrez was back to a football pitch. His fight and the way he overcame adversity is an example and we all are very pleased for him regardless of the team we play for. I am very, very happy for him.
This week I also want to congratulate Ander Herrera for winning the United Player of the Month award for February. He is a great footballer and a better friend, so needless to say how happy I am for him.
In Spain, la Liga has a new leader. Barcelona took advantage of Real Madrid’s defeat in San Mamés. Athletic is enjoying a good streak: first they made it into the Cup final and now they beat the current champions of Europe. Once again I have to praise Aduriz for his spectacular performance (and he is 34!). Anyway, as I said before I think this is going to be thrilling until the very end, same as last season. Also, the clash between Atlético and Valencia was like a final, an even game, and it ended with a draw after the goals from Koke and Mustafi.
I’m looking forward to a thrilling and magical FA Cup night. As I always say, thank you so much for being there, for following our team with so much passion. I’ll see you tonight in Old Trafford, either in person or through the TV.
