With a short playing career that spanned clubs such as Rio Ave, Belenenses and Sesimbra, Jose Mourinho is often lumped in with the likes of Rafa Benitez and Arsene Wenger as successful managers that did not play at the highest level.
Ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League first leg clash with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday, Mourinho braved the artificial pitch and minus 10 degrees celsius conditions, to prove to his players that even he could produce the goods at the Luzhniki stadium.
A camera caught The Special One juggling an orange ball on Monday as Real prepared for the match before Mourinho took a bunch of impressive penalties.
From the video below, it is clear that Fabio Coentrao was eager to watch although it is not clear if Mourinho took his penalties against Iker Casillas, arguably the best goalkeeper in world football.
Whilst the Real Madrid coach’s ball skills and penalty taking are impressive, Mourinho’s finest training ground moment to date remains this wonder goal scored during his time at Inter Milan.
