It was an epochal end of season for Inter Milan yesterday, as the Nerazzuri bade farewell to four club legends.
‘End of an era’ is bandied about all too casually these days, but in this case it really isn’t an overstatement, as Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso, Diego Milito and Walter Samuel all said ‘Arrivederci’ to the Inter tifosi.
With well over a thousand appearances between them the quartet formed the backbone of the 2010 Champions League and Treble winning side, led by Jose Mourinho; indeed Diego Milito scored the two goals in the European Cup final.
The fan video below shows the four club legends out on the running track waving goodbye, and the fans reciprocating with their ‘grazie milles’.
