The window is shut but Sky Italia’s inside-man Gianluca Di Marzio continues to churn out the transfer news.
The original ITK has today announced that Inter Milan are close to signing Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United in the summer when his contract at Old Trafford expires.
Di Marzio has written on his blog:
Nemanja Vidic is close to Italy, Inter are now pressing to close the deal. The Nerazzurri are today ahead of everyone, and they want to define and formalise contract details in the next few days.
The mood is cautious but optimistic. Vidic, out of contract in June, can already sign on a free transfer, and after the arrival of Hernanes it would be the second big coup for the new Inter owner Thohir.
Vidic was close to joining Fiorentina before he flew to the Premier League and Manchester United. But Italy is in his destiny, and Inter knows that. Negotiation have started.
