This is a sight which will please Arsene Wenger.
Having recently returned from an all-too-lengthy period on the sidelines, Arsenal’s Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky has found his feet in recent weeks as he begins to chalk up the minutes and improve on his match fitness. Last weekend Rosicky took another step forward in his rehabilitation by playing 78 minutes of his country’s match with Poland.
Wearing the number 10 shirt and handed a central midfield role, Rosicky was hugely influential throughout the match. Scurrying around the surface, Rosicky continually popped up all over the park, playing a series of neat one-touch passes as well as incisive through-balls as the Gunner made sure to keep the ball rolling as opposed to slowing down the play.
Not all of Rosicky’s passes came off, however the midfielder did set-up Tomas Necid for the opener early in the second half.
Individual match highlights of Tomas Rosicky’s performance against Poland can be seen here.
