There were a host of fancy flicks, several trademark buck-toothed smiles, but sadly not much in the way of end product.
On a rare occasion these days, AC Milan coach Leonardo started former world player of the year Ronaldino against Bari as the Rossoneri desperately tried to kick start their season.
Early doors Rondinho looked in top form, motoring past several defenders and looking quick across the turf. Their were also the picture-book collection of behind-the-back passes, mainly to Ambrosini down the left hand side where the pair tried to work in tandem, however aside from the photo-opps Ronaldinho was failing to hurt Bari were it hurts.
When Dinho did try to play an incisive pass into Klaas Jan Huntelaar in the danger area the blood rushed to the Brazilian’s head as he over-hit his pass.
The second half produced more goal-threatening results, but still no end result for Ronaldinho. In the 53rd minute he missed the chance to open the scoring when the goal was at his mercy, while just five minutes later he had a powerful drive tipped over the bar by Gillet, before being substituted.
All in all the match was another huge disappointment for the Milanese giants as they were held to another scoreless draw having scored just one goal in five matches this season.
