Whilst all the focus on Manchester United’s friendly victory over Shanghai Shenhua has focused on goal scorer and man of the match Shinji Kagawa, it also allowed Sir Alex Ferguson a look at some of the more youthful members of his touring party.
One of the best Manchester United performers in China on Wednesday was Davide Petrucci, a highly-rated midfielder who has been putting in fine performances for the reserves for some time.
For most United fans Petrucci was probably the best player in red during the opening 45 and could well have played himself a little closer to first team contention. Individual highlights here:

Another player Sir Alex Ferguson and the army of Manchester United fans worldwide will have been keeping an eye on is new signing Nick Powell.
The former Crewe youngster looked comfortable but also missed a fairly easy chance to put Manchester United ahead in the first half that could have brought a ton more attention on Powell.
