You couldn't even let Villa play a whole game, FFS? I hope Torres scores an own goal now.

A sad day for Spanish football and football fans in general as David Villa’s international career has essentially ended.
Villa scored the opening goal against Australia and looked sharp, keen to add to his tally, but manager Vicente Del Bosque rather inexplicably took him off.
The striker found it all a bit overwhelming and broke down in tears on the bench.
Many Twitter users shared his feelings.

David Villa in tears, kissing Spanish crest as he comes off and goes to the bench. He is, of course, headed to MLS

Villa in tears on the bench. Surprised he came off to be honest. Was sharp and deserved 90…

This was most likely David Villa's last game for Spain. He scored and VDB subs him out before minute 60?! Lmao. I'll never get that dude.

Xavi (injured) and Villa will never be seen at this level again. All of a sudden it all feels very hard to take
