Once again, IMScouting have released their unique list of the best performances seen in the last seven days of world football flagging up a collection of players who deserve to have their name up in lights. This weeks list is as follows:
Wednesday (25.2): Mabhuti Khenyeza, the top scorer of the South African Premier League with 13 goals in 18 games, scored a hat-trick for Ajax Cape Town.
Thursday (26.2): In the UEFA Cup, there were two young players who stood out. Arda Turan contributed with a brace in Galatasarayâ€™s incredible win over Bordeaux. Arda is the golden boy of Turkish football and is in the midst of a decent season with 7 goals and 6 assists.
Artem Kravets, 19, also shone with a brace for Dynamo Kyiv, helping them to a 2-2 draw with Valencia. Kravets is rated as one of the best up-and-coming players in Ukraine.
Friday (27.2): Impressing in the Eredivisie was Paulo Henrique, the young Brazilian who is rapidly coming in to form. The 19-year-old scored two goals for Heerenveen in their important win over PSV Eindhoven.
Saturday (28.2): After a few difficult weeks, Mauro Zarate returned to form with a brace for Lazio and reminded us all just what a talent he could be. Whilst in Scotland, veteran Shunsuke Nakamura scored an amazing hat-trick for Celtic.
Sunday (1.3): Somen Tchoyi, a 25-year-old Cameroonian defensive midfielder, claimed a brace for RB Salzburg, scoring two goals in the last two minutes of the game.
Semir Stilic, who was linked with move to Celtic during the January transfer window, also proved why he is so sought-after with a well-taken brace for Lech Poznan against Belchatow.
Also on Sunday, Esteban Paredes put in arguably the performance of the weekend in world football, scoring four goals for Santiago Morning and practically winning a close 5-4 thriller with Univ. de Concepcion on his own. Another youngster to grab a hat-trick was Baba, also known as Papa Babacar Diawara, a 21-year-old from Senegal who plays for Portuguese side Maritimo Funchal in their game against Vitoria Setubal.
Lastly, it seems as though every time league leaders FC Zurich play FC Vaduz a massacre occurs. For the second time this season Zurich put on a show with five goals or more over their opponents. This time two players stood out, Dusan Djuric, the talented Swede claimed a brace and an assist and Almen Abdi, the 22-year-old Swiss player who is considered by many to be a great rising international talent, scored a goal and delivered three assists.
