The Italian papers on Monday collectively peddle fresh hope for Manchester United fans that Chilean star Arturo Vidal is about to leave Turin for Old Trafford.
On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport report that Manchester United have made a 60 million euro offer for Vidal, with the midfielder returning to Juventus training today.
Over in Tuttosport, the headline news on the front page of the paper is that Juventus are already planning for Vidal’s departure, lining up Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin and United’s Chicharito as two possible targets.
Tuttosport also believe that rather than €60 million, Man United will only offer the Bianconeri €45 million for Vidal.
Without committing themselves to guaranteeing that the Vidal deal to United will transpire, Tuttosport also stress that the cut-off point appear to be August 2nd, which is the date Juventus head off for their Asian pre-season tour.
