Pep Guardiola met the press on Tuesday in Germany ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League match with Manchester United.
One of the questions posed to Munich’s Spanish boss was his thought on whether Wayne Rooney will start for Man United at the Allianz Arena.
Over the weekend David Moyes claimed Rooney was a doubt for the match as the striker nursed a tie injury.
Guardiola, however, was in no doubts about Rooney’s availability for Wednesday night’s match, as the Bayern boss said:
He is going to play, 100%. He is going to play – I bet you a big, big glass of beer. I believe he is going to play, and Valencia too. Rooney is going to play. He is a big player.
