Newcastle’s latest signing Daryl Janmaat has given his first interview since moving to the club from Feyenoord.
The right-back impressed for Holland at the World Cup as the Dutch earned a third place finish, spanking Brazil in their final game.
As such, it’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Janmaat but he spoke to Newcastle’s club channel about how happy he was to have signed for Alan Pardew’s side: “It was a tough couple of days, we had a long tripfrom Brazil, flying 12 hours. But it was a brilliant experience, third place at the World Cup.
It’s a fantastic club with a big history. The stadium is fantastic and I like the fans. I think it’s the perfect step for me to come to Newcastle.”
