His 1st interview: Emre Can talks about joining Liverpool [Video]
Liverpool have released a short video of new signing Emre Can on Thursday.
Can, 20, has moved to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen for relatively big money, £9.75m, while there are plenty who believe the new German may not cut the grade on Merseyside.
Leaving those naysayers to one side though, Can have been gracious in moving to Liverpool, and the midfielder to LFC TV:
I want to thank the manager for trusting me and allowing me to play here. I am proud to be a part of the family.
I personally see myself as a central midfielder, that’s where I feel most comfortable, but I can also play a variety of other positions.
I believe this season the team finished second in the league, so I want to be a Premier League champion next season.
I believe Liverpool Football Club can be on a similar level to Bayern Munich next season.
