San Martin San Juan defender Diego Sosa is set to become a familiar name to football fans across the globe after scoring one of the most mental own goals… ever!
In many ways, it is fitting that Sosa’s own goal was the only goal for Estudiantes against San Martin in the Argentine Clausura, it was so bad/hilarious/funny/ridiculous that it was a deserving winner.
Newspaper Ole also failed to understand how Sosa hit the ball into his own net, describing it as “a goal from another planet, another sport…”
With 17 minutes played, Mauro Boselli saw his shot parried out by the keeper into the feet of Diego Sosa, the 31-year-old defender, with no one around him, then simply knocks the ball into the empty net. Incredible stuff.
