Hertha Berlin fans riot after defeat to Nurnberg

Violent scenes erupted at the final whistle of the Bundesliga match between Hertha and Nurnberg on Saturday, as the home fans angrily moved against their own team after yet another defeat left the Berliners starring relegation in the face.

After losing 2-1 and remaining rock-bottom of the division, around 100 fans stormed the pitch, some of them armed, as they attempted to attack players and coach Friedhelm Funkel. In response, the players fled the scene and race down the tunnel as the thugs trashed the dugouts before police intervened to restore some order.
