Hacked? The Spurs official Twitter page hit back over Gareth Bale rumours

BRA9WimCcAAp7FO Hacked? The Spurs official Twitter page hit back over Gareth Bale rumoursIs Daniel Levy now running the Spurs Official Twitter page?!

Over the past day or so, there have been two “news stories” surrounding Gareth Bale, which appeared to hint that the long-mooted mega-money move to Real Madrid was imminent.

First, the Spanish press gleefully reported that Tottenham’s official Twitter account had changed their sidebar pictures from Clint Dempsey and Gareth Bale to Mousa Dembele and Aaron Lennon.

On Tuesday, the next story to break was that NBC had replaced their large billboard featuring Gareth Bale in a Spurs shirt from its prime spot in New York’s Time Square.

A host of tweets have been sent from the official Spurs account, essentially denying both of the above claims.

So, was the Spurs Twitter account hacked? Or, is this a change of policy for an account with over 550,000 followers.

Or, will they respond to every small piece of conjecture on the world wide web concerning Tottenham? Unlikely, right!

All the Tweets can be seen below.
