All eyes will be on Gonzalo Higuain this evening as Napoli turn up at the Emirates for a crucial Champions League game for both sides.
With both Arsenal and Napoli having posted victories in their opening games, in what is widely considered to be the “Group of Death” this could be a real humdinger of a match.
And Higuain will take centre stage after coming close to signing for Arsenal in the summer and the Argentine striker was booed during an Emirates Cup friendly match just a couple of months ago.
In the lead up to the encounter, Higuain has expressed his admiration for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Higuain: “I had the pleasure to play with Mesut and he is one of the best players in the world. As a striker he is a dream to play with – because you know he is going to create you chances. When you look at some of the crazy fees that players moved for this summer you have to say that Mesut was a great deal for Arsenal.”
And to pay homage to Ozil, Higuain has posted an Instagram picture of the pair from their Real Madrid days, with the following message: “See you soon…. #Championsleague #NapoliDay”.
