A new trend in free-kicks has become fashionable at the back end of 2012.
No more than ten days after that Lionel Messi executed the low free-kick for Argentina against Uruguay, and on Wednesday night, in the German cup, Mario Gotze became the latest exponent of the clever set-play.
Showing foresight and thought against Hannover, Gotze hit a sweet 20-yard free-kick under the jumping line-of-defence, and the ball beautifully nestled in the near post.
Gotze ended up with a hat-trick in the match as Dortmund ran out 5-1 winners.
