Getafe have lost their last 4 matches in a row and will not be looking forward to playing against a full strength Barca squad. Manager Luis Garcia Plaza already knows that his team will struggle to advance to the next round, especially as they would have to score 4 against the mighty Catalan defence.
Getafe will hope that a good performance might correct their ways and that Pedro Leon can add to his goal tally. The forward is Getafe’s leading goal scorer this season with five goals, while Adrian Colunga, who has scored 4 times this season, will also try and impress. Defender Rafa Lopez said: “It’s very difficult to turn it around, but we’re going to give it everything to try and do it.”
Manager Tata Martina might chose to rest a few key players, especially after the intense 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid last weekend. Andres Iniesta and Dani Alves look set for a rest, while Martina might still choose to rest Fabregas or Neymar. Although Lionel Messi could start as he continues to regain full match fitness.
Messi and Fabregas both scored braces in the 1st leg of the cup tie and effectively put the tie to bed at the Nou Camp. Barca will mostly focus on the match v Levante on the weekend, and try and move away from Atletico Madrid, who are also on 50 points in La Liga.
