As Ukraine prepare to host Euro 2012, for many English football fans it will be a chance to re-acquaint themselves with Andriy Voronin who left Liverpool permanently in 2010 after struggling at Anfield.
Voronin effectively lasted just one season at Liverpool before being shipped out on loan to Hertha Berlin and then to Dinamo Moscow where he has produced some goals, reaching 11 in the Russian Premier League in 2011/2012.
The 32-year-old striker remains an important member of the Ukraine squad and has over 70 caps, Voronin will almost certainly play some part in Euro 2012.
Despite scoring in Ukraine’s 4-0 win over Estonia on Monday night, the former Liverpool forward has produced a viral moment that has already been labelled “the worst miss ever.”
