Former Chelsea manager Avram Grant questions Liverpool’s ‘Even if we don’t win’ attitude to title race [Video]

Bet on the Premier League title race

Currently without a club, former Chelsea and Pompey manager Avram Grant has been a keen observer of the Premier League this season.

The Israeli, who worked with Brendan Rodgers during the Northern Irishman’s apprenticeship at Cobham, believes Liverpool will come back stronger next season, citing recent champions from around Europe, who have finished second and followed it up by winning the championship the next season.

Complimentary towards Gerrard and Liverpool’s strike-force during a Sky Sports News interview, Grant was however critical of how Liverpool shirked the pressure once they got on top, believing it was a mistake to say things like ‘even if we don’t win we’ll have still done great etc’.

Grant may have a point there, on hindsight surely a more cocksure public attitude would have been the better option.
