On Wednesday, business magazine Forbes released their annual list of the world’s top 50 most valuable sports teams of 2015.

The full list of 50 teams, in slideshow format, can be seen here.

Despite ending the 2014/2015 season in turmoil, sacking coach Carlo Ancelotti and having jettisoned Iker Casillas, Real Madrid claim top spot once again, despite failing to win a major trophy.

Real Madrid are valued at 3.26 billion US dollars, followed by the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees.

Then comes Barcelona, who’s stock must surely be rising thanks to their glorious MSN-inspired season that saw Luis Enrique’s team bag another historic treble.

The first Premier League team and final side to be ranked at over 3 billion dollars is Manchester United.

The rest of the Premier League challengers are way behind United and some of the larger franchises in America.

Manchester City rock up in 29th, Chelsea are 31st and Arsenal are placed in 36. Tweets, via PA, on the Forbes richest teams list, can be seen below.
