When new football websites start up, we here at 101 Great Goals like to profile them if they add something to what is becoming a crowded market. FootballFilter is a website well-worth bookmarking.
FootballFilter.com is a dashboard for the best football sources and content on the internet – articles, news, images, videos, podcasts (which can be played via the site), blogs and forums all centralised onto one page via rss feeds.
The idea behind FootballFilter was to gather the best content in order to make the most of your time on the internet. All feeds are categorised into groups such as tabloids, broadsheets, magazines, forums and blogs, broadcasters, world football etc etc. So if you like a particular category you can even scroll down and check out their latest content.
With the video and image feeds FootballFilter aims to find the best vids and photos on places such as Flickr and YouTube (among others) and add them to the favourites – these are then reflected onto the site. These can be played and opened via the site, as can the latest podcasts from the likes of the Guardian, The Times, Football365 and the BBC.
They are also developing team specific pages starting with all clubs in the Premiership – if you have a particular team to request please feel free to contact FootballFilter via their blog or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a work in development so the guys behind the website are always open to feedback or teaming up with other football related ideas, so please free to contact them – they are also interested in developing this concept of feeding sources for other languages, leagues (footballfilter mainly concentrates on premiership football), different sports or other interests.
