For his sixth successive match, David Beckham was picked in the starting line up for the Rossoneri on Saturday night in their match against basement-club Reggina. And once again, much of Milan’s goal threat came from the right-boot of Goldenballs.
Despite the inclusion of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Pirlo, Beckham once again found himself on free-kick duty, and on the half hour Beckham delivered one of his trademark razor-sharp crosses, which nearly resulted in an own goal as Corradi deflected the ball just past the post for a corner.
Beckham’s brilliantly delivery also created a host of outstanding goal-scoring opportunities in the second half. The pick of the crosses arrived in the 73rd minute but sub Pippo Inzaghi headed a Beckham cross narrowly over the crossbar as Milan searched for a winner.
