England boss Hodgson refuses to reveal Italy game blueprint; willing to wait for The Ox [Video]

England boss Roy Hodgson refused to reveal any details of planning for their World Cup opener against Italy.

Hodgson didn’t want to give his opponents any advantage by giving tactical insight ten days before the two clash.

In reply to the question of whether or not England would be fielding an unchanged line-up against Italy from the Honduras friendly on Saturday, Hodgson replied: “Well if I was I certainly wouldn’t be admitting to it.”

Hodgson also indicated that he would be willing to wait on Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the attacker suffered ligament damage: “We keep our fingers crossed that the injury isn’t too serious and he may be able to take part in this World Cup for us.”
