Emmanuel Frimpong reveals on Twitter that the fine for being late to Arsenal training is £1,000

Not part of the Arsenal squad that travelled to Italy to face Napoli in the Champions League this evening, Emmanuel Frimpong had to be in at training on Wednesday morning.

There were strong suggestions over the weekend that Frimpong would be discarded by Arsenal when his contract expires in the summer and it looks like his path to the first team is blocked by some fine players at the current time.

Frimpong appeared worried on Twitter when he posted a picture of the traffic he was sitting in on the way to Arsenal’s training ground.

Then in a message to a Tweet, admitted that it would have cost him 1,000 pounds had he been late.

On a decent Premier League wage, you imagine Frimpong can afford to pay the fine but will have been eager to avoid it.
