The lead story from Catalan paper El Mundo Deportivo today is that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been paving the way for Victor Valdes to join Arsenal for 10 million euros next summer.
Victor Valdes has already confirmed he will be leaving Barcelona when his contract is up (at the end of 2013/2014) but the custodian is expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Valdes after losing confidence in current number one Wojciech Szczesny.
Wenger is reportedly also interested in Asmir Begovic and Pepe Reina to take over the Polish keeper and Henry has been making discreet calls to his former manager and Valdes, a former team mate at Barcelona.
El Mundo Deportivo add that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to add more Spanish players to the likes of Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal.
Arsenal will bid again for David Villa who they were heavily linked with in the January transfer window.
