The big winner at Manchester United’s end of season awards show was goalie David De Gea.
The Spanish stopper was awarded both the Man United Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.
United’s goalkeeper picked up the accolade after getting 54% of the combined votes on ManUtd.com’s seven official websites, ahead of Wayne Rooney (26%) and Adnan Januzaj (5%) in second and third place respectively.
After receiving his prize, 23-year-old De Gea said: “I want to thank the fans. From my very first day at the club, I have felt their love and I’m really happy. For them, we will try next season to do our best again.”
