Luis Nani had a difficult weekend.
Manchester United’s number 17 put in a below-par shift during the Red Devils 3-2 win over Stoke, and according to reports circulated on Twitter after the game, one disgusting person abused the Portuguese forward after the full time whistle.
As Nani was signing autographs for fans at Old Trafford after the Potters game, one supporter assaulted the footballer by spitting at him.
Whether the spitting incident is true or not, Nani was also showered by a chorus of boos when he was hauled off for Adnan Januzaj before the hour mark.
Ironically, Nani had a feature in Manchester United’s programme for the Stoke match in which he labelled Manchester United fans as the best supporter sin the world.
A series of tweets on the Nani spitting incident can be seen below, as well as fan footage of Nani getting heckled and booed from fans as he was subbed on Saturday.
Just seen the video of those united 'fans' spitting on Nani when he was signing autographs for kids after the game. Shocking.
