Croatia’s 23-man World Cup squad includes Southampton’s Lovren & Hull’s Jelavic, no room for Chelsea starlet

Croatia have announced their 23-man squad for the World Cup this summer.

From a Premier League perspective, SOuthampton defender Dejan Lovren and Hull striker Nikica Jelavic both made the cut.

Former Tottenham man, and recent Champions LEague winner with Real Madrid, Luka Modric, also made the squad. Also included was ex-Arsenal forward Eduardo da Silva.

As expected, Chelsea youngster Mario Pašalić missed out on the Brazil touring party.

Croatia face Brazil, Mexico and Cameroon in the World Cup.

The full Croatia 23-man squad is as following:

Goalkeepers: Stipe Pletikosa (Rostov), Danijel Subasic (Monaco), Oliver Zelenika (Dinamo Zagreb)

Defenders: Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk), Dejan Lovren (Southampton), Vedran Corluka (Lokomotiv Moscow), Gordon Schildenfeld (Panathinaikos), Danijel Pranjic(Panathinaikos), Domagoj Vida (Dynamo Kiev), Sime Vrsaljko (Genoa)

Midfielders: Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Ivan Rakitic (Sevilla), Ognjen Vukojevic (Dynamo Kiev), Ivan Perisic (VfL Wolfsburg), Mateo Kovacic (Inter Milan), Marcelo Brozovic (Dinamo Zagreb), Sammir (Getafe), Ivan Mocinic (Rijeka)
