Goals from Sergio Ramos and Casemiro kept alive Real Madrid’s unlikely chances of winning La Liga on Sunday, as they won 2-1 away at Las Palmas.
Spanish paper AS have delved into the stats from the match, to reveal that Cristiano Ronaldo posted record low pass numbers for Real Madrid in the Spanish league in the match.
The Portuguese star only made 28 passes in the 90 minutes.
His previous worst pass numbers came earlier this season in a 1-1 draw with Malaga, when Ronaldo had 37 passes in the game.
So what does this prove? Well, not much.
Perhaps the more interesting aspect is that fact that AS wanted to present this data at all.
The headline lends itself to negative opinions of Ronaldo, suggestions that he’s on the decline, and with Real likely to end the season on a low note, one suspects that there will be non-stop stories linking Cristiano with a move from the club.

Las Palmas 1-2 Real Madrid. First time that Real have won in #LaLiga without any goals coming from Bale, Benzema or Ronaldo since Apr 2015.
