Cristiano Ronaldo gave a quality present to a sick Real Madrid fan on Monday night as the Portuguese superstar invited the supporter and his family to watch the Celta Vigo game in the VIP box at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The boy, who suffers from cancer, was also the recipient of a thumbs-up goal celebration after Ronaldo put Real 2-up in the match.
According to reports, Cristiano heard about the fan’s story and sent him a signed photo to his house. Later Ronaldo called him personally to invite him to the Real Madrid v Celta match.
After the game the boy said:
It was a dream come true for me and the truth is, I’m endlessly thankful for what he has done. It’s something very emotional for me, because I never thought it would happen to me. I was in the VIP box with all his family, and with his son who’s a very intelligent little boy, very friendly and polite and very handsome as well. It was incredible.
The boy’s mother, who was with her son at the game, couldn’t help but become emotional:
I am thankful to Cristiano beyond words for what he has done for my son. He’s such a special person. He’s truly an angel. And my family and I will never, NEVER, forget what he’s done. People can say what they want, but he’s a true angel. Thank you for everything, Cristiano.
