In truth, a description of the following clip does not in any way do it justice – what took place in the Saudi Arabia Pro League match between Al Ittihad and Al Shabab simply beggars belief.
We join the action seven minutes before the break with the score at 0-0. Al Ittihad launch an attack from their own half with a through ball seemingly playing striker Fabrice Ondama (pictured) in on goal from deep.
Defender Omar Al-Ghamdi is the wrong side of Ondama and appears to bring down the striker who had a clear run on goal. The fact the Al Shabab defender is already on a yellow card means referee Fahad Al Mirdasi has what looks to be a simple decision to send him off.
On closer inspection however you will likely be outraged. Ondama holds on to Al-Ghamdi and pulls down his opponent as he takes a dive. Amazing stuff!
In proof that cheats don’t always prosper, Ondama and his Al Ittihad team failed to win the match, despite their man advantage. Al Shabab claiming a 2-0 win to cement their place in second in the table.
Footage of Fabrice Ondama’s crazy cheating can be seen here.
