Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah (Fiorentina) voted best January Serie A signing [Graphic]

During the January transfer window, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho landed Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado for a £23.3m fee.

22 year old Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah went in the other direction, agreeing to an 18 month loan deal in Serie A after failing to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

The former Basel star has got off to a superb start to life in Serie A, scoring four and assisting one in only three starts (6 appearances).

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport conducted an online poll and users seem to generally agree that Salah has been the best signing of the January window.

At the other end of the spectrum, Arsenal loanee Lukas Podolski comes close second to Alessi Cerci for worst January signing.

Chelsea reject Mohamed Salah takes a whopping 47% of the vote with Inter Milan’s Xherdan Shaqiri in second, way behind on 19%.

Note: The figures will change throughout the voting on the Italian website.
