Chelsea striker Diego Costa has refused to rule out a move back to former club Atletico Madrid, as the striker’s future at Stamford Bridge remains unclear.
The Spanish striker, who was integral to the West London side’s championship winning team last season, has struggled to reach the same levels of performance this time around.
The 27-year-old has looked extremely frustrated and disinterested in recent weeks, and so far this season the striker has been more interested in getting into fights with opposition players and even his own boss, rather than looking to put the ball in the back of the net, as his side continue to struggle for goals this campaign.
Whilst there were signs last night during the Blues’ 2-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League that the striker was willing to settle down and work harder to improve his performances, his latest comments taken from MARCA, won’t exactly be helpful.
When asked about the recent rumours surrounding Atletico’s interest in the player,Costa said: ‘You never know if I will return to Atletico’
‘Life always takes many turns, Look where Filipe Luis is’
The truth is that I wish him well at Atletico, and I always keep supporting them from afar.”
