Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been charged by the FA with improper conduct for his behaviour after being sent off during Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Everton.
The controversial Spanish striker was accused of biting Gareth Barry but the Everton midfielder rejected these claims.
The FA Statement explained “It is alleged his behaviour, after being shown a second yellow card in the game, amounted to improper conduct.”
The in form Diego Costa has also been asked to explain an alleged gesture aimed at Everton fans at half time.
