Chelsea fans have plenty to digest this Sunday.
The Blues were held to a disappointing 1-1 home draw by Stoke on Saturday, as Mame Diouf cancelled out Bertrand Traore’s opener.
The stalemate, however, left Guus Hiddink with a new EPL record: he’s the first manager to survive 12 opening games of season without defeat.
And yet, just as Chelsea seem to be stabilising somewhat, the press suggest that this summer will bring major upheaval at Stamford Bridge.
Why did they sell him in the first place?
The tabloid suggests a £56 million pound offer from Chelsea to Everton, however now that the Toffees have new investment, will they be inclined to cash in on Lukaku? Or will they tell the Blues to jog on?
Another takeaway from the Sun’s piece is that it again suggests that Chelsea are opting to buy readymade talent, against blooding youngsters from their academy.
The likes of Traore and Dom Solanke could be wise to start thinking about new employers or their ling term future.
