Chelsea hero Didier Drogba has a super Saturday in Turkey’s Super Lig.
Galatasaray, second in the table behind Fenerbahce, maintained their slim title aspirations battering Akishar Belediye 6-1, and the star of the show for the hosts was their 35-year-old Ivorian centre-forward.
The former Chelsea striker opened the scoring with a trademark header, and Drogba got Galatasaray’s third capitalising on a defensive error from Akishar in clinical fashion.
Drogba then claimed two assists in the match as the forward delivered two crosses for Burak Yilmaz and Bruno Mezenga (own goal) as the hosts added numbers four and five.
The former Chelsea striker has now scored 10 goals in 22 games for Galatasaray in the league this season.
